1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey as an entrepreneur
I am Anooja Bashir the CEO and founder of Ourea (OureaCorp and Oureansoul), Co-founder & CMO of FlexiCloud (Managed Cloud Hosting), and COO of Digitaliz (IT Consultancy), and Founder of Anooja initiatives (social entrepreneurship initiative). I handle the role of multi-specialist in my organization, getting involved as a Brand Strategist, Marketing Consultant, Business Mentor, and Corporate Trainer. I have tried pretty much a lot in the corporate to have bagged expertise and experience all around.
Entrepreneurship wasn’t exactly my dream job but it was like it called me. After 10 years of corporate background and another few years in academia in 2014, I decided to bridge the gap of talents of academia and corporate, hence conferred the idea of an innovative program called LIKES – Learning Innovative Key Employment Skills. Though the concept was of a finishing school which later on evolved into a marketing agency and then with the expansion of the IT wing, we developed ourselves into a 360-degree business management consultancy. Though my journey was full of thorns and rejections, I never gave up on my dreams. Even after failing pathetically twice, I stood up strong, building my company with strategies and experiences gained in the journey of evolving myself into my best.
Ourea emerged as one of the strong marketing agencies within a year with its innovative and conceptualized approach. Eventually, I collaborated with Vinod Chacko( founder of FlexiCloud) and Naman Modi( founder of Digitaliz) and got the best IT support for Ourea. The professional team took a new shape getting us super stronger than ever as an organization.
2. Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?
I always wanted to create an innovative system that would be one of a kind. Since I handled different job profiles in my career and had acquired enough knowledge to bring out the best version of me, I just flowed along. It was Entrepreneurship that chose me as if I was born to evolve in this system of creating and innovating new wonders. I feel I never gave up because I knew deep down that it was my passion to develop a company with talents and skilled collaborating into a perfect system, to generate revenue for everyone associated with us. We also believe to contribute to society with our skills. It’s bliss to evolve into a 360-degree business management consultancy which brought me recognition, stability, and strength.
3. What was the vision behind it?
The vision behind creating a concept of 360-degree consultancy was to use the expertise bagged in all these years into a developed revenue-generating model for a successful business. My business model was such that each wing compliments the other and brings revenue to each other, expanding our clientele. The Clubbing of the experts in their own respective field worked out like magic for us in building a strong and powerful organization.

4. Describe the services that you offer to your customers and in what way they are unique?

5. What difficulties which you have faced or you are facing?
Just like every other business, we faced multiple challenges including the obstacles of finding the right team, perfect IT backup, and of course financial and emotional losses as
well. The pressure and stress that come with the onset of any business dealing with the same in the most appropriate and effective way are what makes the business move. Though we faced many halts, due to the compiled efforts of me and my partners Vinod Chacko and Naman Modi, we got through all the storms and reached the place that we are in today.
6. How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?
We indulge in many different services and activities which help us better our stress but our passion for creating something bigger helped us rectify the halt from stress. Again apart from this, our teamwork and management abilities help us lessen the workload on each other and give us a smooth ride. My partners and my team have definitely made the stress easier to take. As I say, the strength of me is my pack and the strength of the pack is me.
7. How do you market your business?
Marketing is the core of any organization’s success. we create our work in the most efficient and effective way and let the quality speak for us. Marketing always being my forte, me and my team are best at bringing out innovative strategies to stand out. We strategically plan our moves to get to the right audience for the most genuine works.
8. How many hours a day do you work on average & can you describe/outline your typical day?
The working hours are not what matter but the productivity and result of the work put in are what matters to us. All of our team members work towards creating the best out of everything.
9. In your opinion what are the keys to success?
In my opinion, believing in yourself is the key to success, even when the whole world is against you believing in your hopes and dreams and working towards them. We all have definitely faced many failures but all of those failures have just become our steps to success. The team and compatibility of the team matter a lot as well.
Our trio has proven to us that when we stand united anything and everything is possible. I can say that failures though bring a slight halt but learning from those is what becomes the step towards success.
10. What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?
My words for an upcoming entrepreneur would be
“Your failure should be your push to achieve more and more as dreams are like the sky, they’re boundless.”
