We invited Varnika Bhargava, Founder of Creativeshowz for an interview with Most Popular Stories to know more about his entrepreneurial journey.
- Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey as an entrepreneur.
I am Varnika Bhargava from Delhi. I started my first job when I was pursuing my post-graduation. I’ve done 6 years job in finance domain with some good brands in MNC.
6 years back it was my brother’s marriage & my father gave me complete responsibility to manage the wedding luckily that was a great show, after one year again I got the chance to show my creativity as it was my niece’s 1st birthday and again I manage to do it gracefully.
I always wanted to do some creative stuff far differ on what I was doing. 3 years back one day I was sitting in the office and doing my regular stuff my mood just got crazy I wrote my
resignation and saved in draft and the moment my shift finished I just send it across my management team and HR and just left my job and started my own event company, but before leaving the job I make myself completed prepared by reading about the event industry and how to work in that.
- Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?
I choose to be an entrepreneur because of two reasons:
- I don’t want to work for anyone else anymore.
- Being an entrepreneur I got to learn every aspect about a business & its growth along with self-development which I can never be able to learn in job.
- What was the vision behind it?
My vision behind it is to help others to convert their dream events into reality through innovative & creative ideas.
- Describe the services that you offer to your customers and in what way they are unique?
I’m an Event & Wedding Planner and I strongly believe that each customer is as equally important as your first customer when you start your business and considering this I always give my 100% to all my customers and I personally visit all my sites whether it’s a small event or a big one.
Services that I offer to customers are wedding planning, corporate event planning, birthday planning & surprise planning, My events are unique because I always design them as per customer taste and preference I gave them the creative ideas and they choose.
- What difficulties which you have faced or you are facing?
There are a couple of challenges I’ve face being a fresh face in the event industry with no earlier event background. Some of them are like it was tough for me to get my first customer and to retain them, generating a new lead, how to work on quotes, how to earn for daily needs as it was my only source of earning left, how to crack deals and the list is still continuing as I’m growing in this business.
- How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?
I always keep my plan B ready with me in-case plan A got messed up. I have a habit to
learning so I keep upgrading myself time to time with the possible issues I might face in my work and that really helps me a lot to manage with any kind of stress.
- What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person/startup?
Always open to learn
- How your company is helping India to grow?
I’m really not sure if this could help India to grow but if I talk about individual or other companies my company always comes up with the new concepts which are beneficial all.
- In your opinion what are the keys to success?
One can achieve success by following these points: Commitment to customer service, building relationship, creativity, transparency, & passion.
- What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?
I would suggest first get yourself complete knowledge about your work, it’s a trend, it’s the market scope and try to make your friends or family your first customer because they can promote you at your initial stage without any monetary involved.
