This is exactly what Caterspoint does. Caterspoint is a cloud based kitchen that delivers tasty yet low calorie, nutritious food to the hungry bellies.
What inspired Caterspoint
Caterspoint is a Delhi-based start-up that started its journey in 2016. The company is a brainchild of a young chef Anshu Raj. He realised the necessity of innovative yet hygienic food and he believes the taste quality and hygiene of food is what will drive the future food delivery companies.
To pursue his dream of establishing a successful foodtech service, he left his career as a chef after working at Oberoi and ITC. The company started with a fund of 30 Lakh and now it has grown into a huge company with a monthly GMV of 45 lakhs.
With an aim to provide customers with tasty food items made from traditional Indian kitchen ingredients like sago, upma, poha, custard etc. Anshu Raj started this service that now has 260 item in their menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts. Items like porridge, oatmeal, sandwiches etc. are also available on this app.
The X factor
The secret recipe of their success is an excellent combination of cost effectiveness and innovative, tasty dishes. Raj also realises the importance of consistency, that is why he vowed to provide quick prep-time and hygienic food that can be safely consumed on a daily basis along with safe packaging and quick delivery.
It gives people the option to order online and convenient delivery. Probably because of all this perks it has attracted high profile customers like Deepinder Goyal, Pankaj Chaddha, Aastha Gill, Kusha Kapila all of whom like to order from Caterspoint.
Future of Caterspoint
Currently, they have 4000 positive reviews on Zomato and have served 1 million customers already. They rely completely on third parties for order and delivery. However, their centralized, self-sufficient teams have enabled them to survive in the competitive food market. At present, the start-up is aiming for unit-level profitability.
The plan is to expand to Chandigarh and Bengaluru within 24 months, and to become one of the top 5 foodtech start-ups within 5 years.
