We invited Darsh Chandrappa – Founder of Darsh Productions for interview. A Bengaluru based advertising, and event management firm. He started his career as A model during his college days then into acting and now an Entrepreneur.

Darsh productions have been functioning successfully for several years. He has been juggling with modeling, acting, and being an Entrepreneur with great ease and has flourished in it.

He has worked from the conceptual stages with innovative ideas, collaborating with the team members and at the same time maintaining client relationships. His organization is backed with highly accomplished professionals with extensive experience in designing and executing projects successfully on many visionary advertising projects for high profile brands, which includes both Television Channels(TVC), Print & Digital Media.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey as an
entrepreneur?


I’m basically a MCA graduate from PES university Bangalore.I started my career during my college days as a model, I always looked up for opportunities to start something of my own and felt I had all the qualities to run a business, And the quality of venturing new things and taking risk Supported me. 

2. How did you get involved in Modeling?


My height is my plus point it made me stand out in the crowd and that’s what got me into modeling and acting. I have worked for national and international brands. Then started with short films and serials.

3. What was the vision behind Darsh Productions? 


Working as a model and Actor I wanted to start something of my own as a producer. And having experience About this industry gave me knowledge on coordination Activities to technical part of how I could run my Production. I had the ideas, creativity, and passion towards this , which made me executive the plan of starting my own. 

4. Describe the services that you offer to your customers and in what
way they are unique? 


We are backed with highly accomplished professionals with extensive experience in designing and executing projects successfully on many visionary advertising projects for high profile brands, which includes for both Television Channels(TVC), Print & Digital Media.
We focus on creating an impact and brand building for our clients.

5. What difficulties which you have faced or you are facing?


There were a lot of them big or small , but I feel I have learnt a lot from them and it has given me the strength to face any kind of difficulty with experience.

6. How do you handle the pressure and manage stress? 


Pressure is everywhere right from childhood as we live in a world of competition. I believe in building that capacity to handle things with calm n composed state of mind. 
I give myself some time to manage stress to get relaxed and work more effectively.

7. What 3 things does anyone starting in your industry need to know?


The first thing would be know what exactly you want to do and get yourself groomed for it, as this industry is filled with a lot of struggle and competition. Understand your strengths and weakness Work on them.

Never let anything or anyone pull you down. Always get prepared before you leave for work which will help you save your time and others too, This also adds on being professional. 

8. How many hours a day do you work on average & can you
describe/outline your typical day?


There’s no time frame. I work round the clock and I believe finishing work as and when it comes than getting it piled up for the next day. 

I definitely don’t have a routine as it becomes hard to follow one, being an actor model & running my own.But yes coming to my health and staying fit I do have few things that I follow.

9. In your opinion what are the keys to success?


Nothings ever served in platter. There is no shortcut to success, hardwork and dedication are what you need to make things work for you.

Self Motivation is important which reminds you of why you started. Stay strong and learn to face challenges.

10. What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring
entrepreneur?


Learn to take risk… It’s ok to fall and get up again n again But definitely better than not trying at all. Know your skills and have clarity and vision about your startup. Make targets work towards them .Don’t ever give up. Support others to support you and build together.
