Akshara Lalwani, didn’t expect the major breakthrough of her company Communicate India which she started off merely with a sum of 10K from her bedroom. After completing her Graduation in Economics, Akshara started presiding over as a financial advisor as well as an investment banker. But, destiny was awaiting her with something else. One of Akshara’s friends wanted her to get into the sector of public relations, since she had a knack for communicating eloquently. This finally culminated in the creation of Communicate India which she started off with only a capital of rupees 10,000 from a compact space of her own bedroom.
Initially, Akshara had to face reluctance from her clients, who were somewhat hesitant to opt for a business service from a 23 year old young girl. Akshara says that she firmly believes in women empowerment, hence, majority of employees who are working in her company right now are women. Initially, when Akshara started off with a capital of 10,000, most of it was comprised of gift vouchers for a printer which her friends gave her. Thanks to Akshara’s first client in Bandra which was nothing but a restaurant, which agreed to sign a contract of 6 months along with her.
The primary motive of her company is to collaborate with customers and work along with them, while helping them to achieve their various business objectives efficiently. Some of the sectors that her company works with are solar, cement, healthcare, beverage, food to name just a few. Initially, when Akshara started her company in the form of a boutique PR firm, she had to face the brunt of witnessing her small start-up ablaze and turning into a charred wreckage. This came up as a major turning point in Akshara’s life when she decided to transform a small boutique-like set up into an out-an-out corporate identity.
Akshara also told that it was a major challenge for her as she had put in every single penny from her savings, but, subsequently it turned into a major breakthrough. Currently, Communicate India is enjoying its international presence in some of the major countries like Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, UK and US, including her own native country as well. Currently, Akshara runs a communication agency comprising a team of 100 employees working together. Akshara takes pride in the fact of being the a female entrepreneur in India, as Indian women are more efficient in terms of providing a wider perspective, improved stability and an impeccable multi-tasking caliber as well.
