  1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey as an entrepreneur.

I have worn many hats right from a mother who was a homemaker, a preschool teacher a preschool center coordinator,  head of operations of a large preschool chain and now spearheading my own company Edukart  .

In over two decades of working in the education sector, my experience spans across the landscape of in-classroom teaching to managing large numbers of schools.

  1. Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

What keeps my passion growing in the field of education is the love of creating preschools that are a benchmark in quality and stand the test of time with a solid foundation.

As a professional, I had limitations in expressing my passion. This was the intention that drove me to start my own venture and to support and guide entrepreneurs who wished to start preschools all across the country.

  1. What was the vision behind it?

The vision of my company Edukart was born out of a desire to transform lives and empower people in the education industry. The outcome of which would be creating the best quality of education that children receive.

  1. Describe the services that you offer to your customers and in what way they are unique?

Edukart provides preschool curriculum, content for digitization, teacher development programs, school set-up, and franchising solutions.

We also provide customized solutions to schools in various domains of quality including curriculum design, training and development, and school infrastructure.

What is unique about our services is the immense amount of RESEARCH that goes into the development of our curriculums and training modules keeping in mind the upcoming generation.

  1. What difficulties which you have faced or you are facing?

The difficulty that I face is the time and energy that goes into explaining to people (who wish to start a preschool) to choose quality over price, as poor quality of content has a major impact on the FIRST EVER education that children receive.

  1. How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

Over the two decades that I have spent in this industry, I have shortlisted the pressure areas which trigger stress. Surely life is a roller coaster ride and so is business.  Creating a structure and working on that structure with integrity has been one of my ways of managing stress.

Just being in action with the commitments on hand has been the source of my energy. Keeping fit with my walks, yoga, and the gym is my passion. Another powerful stress buster is going regularly on short holidays.

  1. What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person/startup?

The one strategy that has really helped me grow as a person is to follow my passion, which is to contribute as much as I can into the education field.

As much as I put my time and energy in creating the most effective content and curriculums I spend 20% of the time in a year in learning from domain experts in the education industry and self development courses.

  1. How your company is helping India to grow?

Edukart is founded with a purpose to create a curriculum for the source of our country. We educators are fortunate to be in a business that has a large social impact. A well-crafted preschool curriculum delivered with integrity will have a positive impact on the growth and mindset of the future of the country.

  1. In your opinion what are the keys to success?

The key to success is being passionate and having a clear context for the work you do and being unreasonable with yourself.

  1. What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?

The only advice I would give to an entrepreneur is to follow your heart. If you think you can you will make it. As you are the master creator of your own life.
