Interview with Aannshul Bandiya | Co-Founder & CEO of Business Conflux

As part of our mission to bring more interesting stories from the start-up ecosystem, we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur, Aannshul Bandiya, Co-Founder & CEO of Business Conflux, for an interview with us to understand more about his interesting entrepreneurial journey so far. let’s hear out from  Aannshul Bandiya

It all started in 2016 when I was in my 10th Standard. That time, I was not good at studies, sports, or anything else, or you can say I was good at them but I did not know it!

It was the time when someone helped me in understanding my true potential. I realized how much we can achieve if we do it for love. It can be any person, any activity, or just anything but you really need to have that positive feeling of love towards someone or something.

In my 10th Standard half-yearly examination, I got 37 marks out of 90 in maths. I felt sad as I barely passed in it. But when that person helped me in understanding myself and realizing my true potential through love, my marks got increased from 37 to 83 out of 90 in a matter of a few weeks. I then realized what I’m capable of doing & that I’m here because of a big purpose.

I started learning other forms of arts & developing some more skills, so I joined a dance class, learned martial arts, started singing & whistling (I still do it!) & I became good at sports including Cricket & Chess.

I started reading books & found my interest in Entrepreneurship, Finance & Science (Especially Quantum Physics). Since I was a commerce (with maths) student & was having no science background, it was difficult for me to understand broad topics like quantum physics, but I did it to some extent.

My entrepreneurial journey started when I was a kid. I used to give small loans to my brother and sister and used to take them back with some interest on the money (It was really fun!).

I also released some movies in which I was the only actor & charged money for tickets & for food during intervals.

When I was in my 11th class, there came an interesting competition named “School Enterprise Challenge” where we built Pocket Diaries & sold them to parents coming on parents teachers meet. It was a good experience & I earned approximately 350 INR on that day. (Given some of that to my lovely sister for making the pocket diaries ;))

That was my first experience in personal selling!

After clearing 12th, I got into Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, DU and I had already decided that I’ll not do a job but become an entrepreneur & serve the world. So, I made a team and we started a drone company. We were 6 to 8 people in the team & we shifted from drone manufacturing to drone trading to an online toy store to a plastic cup advertising company but none of them worked.

The main problem was good team bonding & lack of funds.(You just can’t start an asteroid mining company just because you know it’ll boom in the future. You need resources to do that!)

I started another venture called RetArt in my college with my 2 college friends where we used to get important items delivered in the College hostel within 5 to 10 Minutes! It was amazing but we realized that students preferred going out for a lovely walk and getting those items themselves, so we closed it down after earning a few hundred bucks. I thought we need to do something big. The problem we faced in each of our ventures was not getting enough funds to expand the business so then it came.

The idea of Business Conflux. We thought about why we don’t help other startups and companies to raise funds and expand their businesses? In this way, we will not only help Startups and Companies but also Investors to find potential investment opportunities and all this will lead to the growth of the Indian Startup ecosystem.

We started with a team of 4 people and worked very hard in building our website, finding Investors’ connections on LinkedIn & google and within 2 or 3 months, we got our first 100 Investors through an IB. It was a kind of B2B2C collaboration but later we found direct collaborations with Investors and Investment Companies.

We are now having more than 1500 Investors and some of our collaborations are Windrose Capitals, Tomorrow Capitals, Orios VP, Info Edge Ventures, Rukam Capital, Blume Ventures, IC1101, Boudhik Ventures, Rockstud Capital & other big funds!

We provide Fundraising & Consultancy services to Startups & Companies from all over the world.

In the meantime, I won some awards like the National Talent Hunt 2017 Winner, Lufthansa Impact Week 2018 Winner, Earned 2nd Prize in Fortune’19 Mock Stock & some more. All of these awards boosted my confidence & knowledge and worked great in providing me a push to try out new things & learn more about different aspects & subjects of life.

I got some certifications & licenses like FMAT: BSE Institute & SSCBS, NISM XA: Investment Advisor Level 1, NISM XI: Equity Sales, NISM VIII: Equity Derivatives. These certifications & licences increased my knowledge in the field of finance. I started trading & investing in Indian Equity Markets when I was in my 11th class & learnt most of the things myself using a beautiful source called the “Internet”.

Currently, Apart from Business Conflux & Equity Markets, I am also working on starting an Asset Management & Advisory Company to utilise my experience & knowledge in the Stock Market with one of my friends whom I met during my FMAT certification. He is a great person & we have a really good bonding between us!

I also run an Instagram page @Trillionaire_89 where I educate people on Finance, Marketing, Business, Money & Life. It’s having approximately 1650+ Followers.

There is more than this in the big story but I couldn’t have written all of them here. I really love the person who made me realize my true potential & she changed my life in a positive manner and I’ll do the same for the world. My ultimate goal is to establish peace & love in the world which used to be a long time ago.

To conclude, I’d like to tell you that if your purpose of doing something is true & right, then no one can stop you from doing it!

I’d like to end the text with 2 beautiful quotes by Christopher Nolan & Steve Jobs

A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat on a young boy’s shoulders to let him know the world hadn’t ended.“

– Christopher Nolan

The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” — Steve Jobs
