Birds in Action- Sugaradhana proved its efficacy Again

Covid has changed almost everything in the last one and a half years, and we have been talking about it a lot. But today, the time is not only to talk about what has happened, it is about taking the right measures to solve this global problem.

Shri Vishnu IAS – District Collector – Tirunelveli , Dr Senthil Kumar, Dr Karthik Narayanan, Dr Thamarai Selvi

Coronavirus has made many people suffer mentally, physically, and emotionally. The second wave had a greater effect on our lives. Many people lost their families, their homes are shattered, many have lost their homes, many have lost their source of living and many lost their lives.

Everyone is leading their battle against Covid-19. We all are taking measures to prevent the virus from spreading. We must wear a mask to cover our nose and mouth, avoid social gatherings, maintain social distancing, wash, or sanitize our hands regularly and avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces. But these are individual measures. What if we want to prevent the community spread of Covid-19?

Currently, when we have the urge to protect ourselves from the virus and keep ourselves safe, some people wish to keep others safe as well. One such team is Team Sugaradhana – Dhaksha.

The will to fight against Covid-19 made this team work hard and find various methods that work against this virus. The CEO and Founder of Sugaradhana, Dr. Karthik Narayanan, and Dr. K Senthil Kumar, Director CSAR (Center of Space Aero Research)- Anna University, Center for Aerospace Research, came up with an action plan.

Selvi Apoorva IAS – Principal Secretary – Govt of Tamil Nadu along with Dr Senthil Kumar – Director – CASR , Dr Karthik Narayanan – CEO – Sugaradhana – Bangalore , Dr Thamarai Selvi – Vice Chancellor – Thiruvallur University , Shri Kannan – Muncipal Comissioner – Tirunelveli Corporation

They came up with a plan to disinfect the whole city at once taking Luoyang, China as an example where hundreds of trucks were used to spray the whole city with disinfectant to fight against Coronavirus, which turned out to be the most effective way to disinfect the city.

Dr. Narayanan and Dr. Kumar, along with their team and the Government of Tamil Nadu initiated a Special Operation under the guidance of Selvi Apoorva IAS – Principal Secretary – Department of Higher Education – Government of Tamil Nadu, to combat Covid-19. They successfully started their action plan in the city of Tirunelveli.

Team Sugaradhana and Dhaksha were signed for a one-week operation as a special case study for the Tamil Nadu Government to see the product efficacy of bringing down the bacterial and fungal load in the air. Once this load reduces it breaks down the covid virus protein cells, and exactly this is what happened when the SUGARADAHANA disinfectant was sprayed in the contentment zones.

In this week, they repeatedly sprayed the disinfectant in the red zones with the help of 24X mist blowers, which can spray up to 100 feet. Not only this, but the blowers also have 24 ultra-low Volume Mist Sprayers, and the tank capacity is 500 liters which can be extended up to 10,000 liters as per the requirement.

Dr. Narayanan and Dr. Kumar also collected scientific evidence and data to conduct a Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis. This was conducted by Radiant Research Labs – NABL Accredited under the leadership of Chief Scientist Dr. Ashok from Bangalore, this test was taken to check the Air Viral Load of Bacteria and Fungus along with Virus in red zone containment areas.

Team Sugaradhana – Dhaksha, Anna University, and the Government of Tamil Nadu were able to reduce the surge of Coronavirus spread in the city of Tirunelveli by 33%. According to the data collected, post spraying Sugaradhana antimicrobial organic disinfectant there were 661 cases in Tirunelveli, whereas there were 1521 cases in Kanniyakumari.

A Comparative Study of various Disinfectants, including Sugaradhana Antimicrobial Solution, was conducted, and the Sugaradhana Antimicrobial Solution proved to be more effective with less harmful effects. The most common disinfectant used today is alcoholic, non-organic NON- Biodegradable that often results in negative after-effects, such as Skin and Eye irritation, Inhalation irritation, water toxicity, Ingestion toxicity, and are flammable.

In this activity, more than 20000 liters of SUGARADHANA Antimicrobial Disinfectants were spread over the wards, and the result is in front of us as 33% fewer cases in the sprayed area. This means after spraying the red zones repeatedly, there were no fresh cases reported.

Unlike last year’s attempt once again, their technique proved to be effective in the brawl against Covid-19. The government of Tamil Nadu is now looking at this project Seriousness and Coimbatore will be the next district for the case study to see if the Load and cases can come down.

We can say that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Vision of using Technology for the Nation has finally come true and falling in place. It’s just a matter of one right step we are waiting for.

I would like to conclude my views on this and would like to request our Government to look at the solution provided by Team SUGARADHANA – DHAKSHA, who knows this helps us to stop community spread faster than ever.
