At a very young age, Ms. Lad became the Director of Volksara Pvt Ltd as well as the Krystal group of Companies and completely bowled over the nay-sayers. Ms. Lad emerged into the limelight when Volksara’s work and contribution in the Smart City Project in India won the award for Best Safe City in India. Ms. Lad has a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Management and Consulting from Nottingham Trent University and a Master’s Degree in Business Consulting from the University of London. After completing her post-graduation, she established her organization.
Her company has worked on the grassroots level with the Smart City Project and has implemented Smart City solutions all over India. Some of her most notable projects include Nashik, Kumbh Mela, Mumbai airport, Matheran Safe City, Namchi Smart City, Gondia Smart City, Goa shipyard, Goa pipeline and more.
The idea of developing a far-reaching business like Volksara emerged while Ms. Lad was walking with her father in London. A conversation about CCTV cameras with her father, an entrepreneur himself, inspired her to focus on implementing Smart City solutions all over the world. She started by doing it in the small county seats in Great Britain. Then, she returned to India and started working with the Smart City Project at the very basic level.
Volksara focuses on developing the cyber security capabilities of Indian cities. This is accomplished by upgrading the available infrastructure – including CCTV cameras, drones and IT implements. Her valuable work started to be noticed while she was working on integrating the Kumbh Mela into the Smart City Project.
